I am looking to block the bright, blinding sun, I don't need privacy, I just want to soften the glare. Will this paper work? If so, what thickness?

This film will help stop the direct sun rays, but still provide a good amount of translucent light to come in. The spec sheet shows that this is an 8 mil thick film.
