What is defined as a "Running Foot"? Is it a 12" length from the 35.5" wide roll?

The films come in assorted widths and then you can order any length you wish (12 inch increments) most of the films come in either 25, 50 or 100 foot long rolls, but again, can be ordered by the linear foot.
