Are the reeds parallel to the roll or perpendicular to the roll?

The reeds run down the full length of the roll. They do not run across the film from end cap to end cap. All of the pictures on our website show how the film will come off the roll if it were sitting at the bottom of the picture. (except for the gradient films) Hope this helps.
