Can this product be drilled on to a wood frame rather than using the adhesive? How bendable is the material?

It should work, but the material is pretty thin. You might want to use a strip of wood over the film on the back where you are going to attach it. If you nail or staple directly through the film, it would probably rip through. You might want to try some free samples first to see how it contours over the corners.
