Will this specific product (semi private) allow shadows through? Will it allow light through? Conversely, will the most private window films allow any light through?

This material will allow plenty of light through while obscuring visibility. There would be some shadows visible if someone/something were to come closer to the window, but at a distance the shadows will be significantly less. Consider ordering some samples to see if this film meets your needs.
