Can the film be placed on the exterior of the window? Is it UV resistant?

This film is not rated for an exterior install. It does have a 99% UV blocking ability when used on the interior. You "can" install it on the outside, but it would not be covered by a warranty. We have many other films that can be used in or out, and on those we recommend sealing the edges with a bead of clear silicone caulk.
