My window is wider than 48", so I am going to have to piece 2 pieces to cover it. Will it look bad with two pieces? I am afraid of being able to see the "seam".

The seam shouldn't be too visible, however if you are concerned, you can request two samples of the material and install the samples side by side to give you an idea of how it will look with the larger version.
