I want to put the seedy film over my glass inserts in my chandelier. Do I need to worry about the heat from the light bulbs causing damage to the film?

You should be fine as long as the bulbs do not touch the film and are a couple inches away. These films are fire rated and have a very high melt/burn temperature.
