Can this work in conjunction with mirrored one way film?

Sure, depending on the effect you are trying to create. It would be a good way to gain extra privacy from the mirrored side looking into the grey side (if that was the intention) It would probably work best to do them on different sides of the glass, especially if there was a thought of taking one or the other down in the future.
